Job Description

Job Objective: Repair, customize, maintain, or overhaul both customer and dealer owned motor vehicles as close to the allotted time schedule as possible with excellent quality
 
QUALIFICATIONS
License(s)- 
* Driver’s License (DL) 
 
Education
* High school diploma (or equivalent)
* Factory authorized training program (i.e. MMI Service School)—or equivalent work experience
Additional Criteria
* Read and comprehend instructions and information
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to meet company’s production and quality standards
* Possess/own both basic and special tools to properly diagnose and service products as specified by Service Manager

JOB-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
* Prioritize for 100% productivity goals and keep close to goal as possible
* Use factory specifications as standard in all repair, service, and customization work
* Provide excellent customer service for all customers in any area of the dealership, specifically offering dependable vehicle service
* Complete repairs within specified time parameters
* Receive  service assignments from service consultant or Service Manager
* Determine parts needed for particular job and submit request immediately
* Inform service consultant or Service Manager of any supplemental work and/or delays to estimated completion time so customers    receive current information of progress
* Aid service consultant as needed to write work orders, conduct test rides, interact with customers
* Maintain clean, efficient work area and assist in keeping shop neat and organized
* Complete and file completed paperwork after every completed job
* Keep technical qualifications current by completing required training programs
* Present customers’ vehicles in pristine condition upon completion of work order
* Reduce and/or eliminate return repairs by completing each job thoroughly and completely to enforce excellent customer service        with cheerful disposition when accepting  returned vehicles for additional repairs
